diseases at the same time…supposedly in graves it is really one of the
better autoimmune diseases to get because the antibodies(supposedly) only

It will be seven years in August dealing with GD. I did not have any other health problems before except arthritis. The arthritis was diagnosed 27 years ago and never got any worse than occasional pain which responded to asprin. Since I am now in the normal range I feel good and don’t have any other problems except my eyes are still giving me trouble. I think we have to understand that we are still going to have the usual aches and pains of life along with GD, not as a part of GD. The only new thing I have noticed is that when I eat fish I get a rash on the lower part of my leg and my leg swells. After the second time, I now decide if whatever it is I want to eat (shrimp, lobster, etc.) is worth the temporary inconvenience. While I’m posting I’ll add that I too have gained about 35 pounds since RAI 15 months ago. I remember when diagnosed at 90 pounds, I thought I will never feel too fat. Naturally I am not happy about the weight, but didn’t care until I felt better. Good luck to all of you.
