Hi – I haven’t had a chance to read the BB for a few days but I sure got a laugh out of your reply about the driving license photos. I was sitting here laughing out loud to myself and I really needed that about now. Thanks.
BTW what does <BR> mean? Am I dumb or just not up on the latest!
I’ve got some friends coming in so I will catch up on the board tomorrow. My eyes are still very sore and today I noticed that one of the stitches is still in there. I thought it was just a piece of loose skin. Now I’m terrified of having that pulled out because the other 7 stitches hurt when they came out. Will there ever be an end to this??? You see I NEED those laughs.
AnonymousFebruary 27, 1998 at 2:40 pmPost count: 93172I appreciate your reply to my question of whether to see an opthamologist or not. Actually, after I got the diagnosis and did some reading, I went to see the opth. who did my RK surgery some years back. But it was obvious to me he didn’t treat Graves’ eye disease by what he said and by what he didn’t do at the exam. I had decided to just blow it off until I had problems, but now I have a call in to The Thyroid Society for a list of doctors who DO know what to do. I enjoy reading this board – I have a place to go to learn more, and share with people who have the same disease.
Now, I am just curious, did anyone continue to have problems with a fast, irregular heartbeat after their thyroid hormone levels went back to normal? I am not sure how long to wait before checking with my endo. He didn’t refill my Inderal since my heartrate has slowed down some, but I still have frequent problems with skipping beats and fast pulse, especially after any kind of exercise. Thanks again – and for those going through a rough time right now, I’ll say a little prayer for you.
AnonymousMarch 4, 1998 at 2:13 pmPost count: 93172thanks so much for responding, you have helped me to understand a lot. I have read a lot about thyroid and when I say my doctor yesterday I asked him if stress could have anything to do with this condition as I have been under terrible physical and mental stress in the last 3 months but he said he had never heard of that. I know I have read it a million times!! Thanks again, Bobbi.
