Hi Dee,

At least you are feeling your feelings and not stuffing
them. I know the government is cutting back, way back.
That is why I will be able to take an early retirement
when they offer them again in the next fiscal year. I have
been working for the government for almost 25 years. I can
remember when I was so darn grateful even to have my job
and there was a big government job freeze going on.

I could go on and on about work but it is you facing this
situation right now. This type of news to be can be very
stressful. The only things I can say that make sense right
now is to keep good records and most importantly take care
of yourself. The relaxation/meditation techiques could be
helpful. You can write me anytime you want to or need to.

I am so sorry about your bad news; I remember what it is like to be laid off, it’s happened to me 3 times in the past 20 years, and it was always so traumatic. I will be thinking about you and wishing you the best,

I had the exact same thing happen…i did not have surg though…i had
radiation….and worked at the same place for 17 yrs….i worked until
could not see anymore….then when i went to go back…they did not tell
me i was fired but instead told me that i had to be available for all
shifts at the drop of a notice and i was only allowed four abscenses a
year instead of ten…if i could not come in at midnight when they called
me at nine that same night i would use up one absence….IMAGAINE…THEY
WERE SETTING ME UP FOR A FALL……TO TOP IT ALL OFF MY BOSS TOLD PERSONELL
THAT SHE NEVER KNEW I WAS ILL….UNREAL….even they knew ALMOST ALL THE
DETAILS~~~~~~ they(PERSONEL)
refused to accept my resignation but said they thought it might be better
if i worked for someone else not this boss…they wanted me to apply for
another job~~~~~~~~ imagine…just getting up the guts to go back to work
and they pull this—-AND TO BOOT IT WAS A HOSPITAL!!!!!
I have not worked since and even though a lawyer told me i could sue them
for discrimination…my husband works there as well..i lost the will
to fight them…WHAT COULD I DO…
I HOPE YOU FIGHT IT…I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!!!
