      Liz, yes there is a relationship between vitilago and thyroid, and YES, it is important to keep enough calcium in your body. Thyroid hormone (our own, or synthetic) pulls calcium out of our bones faster than we can ordinarily replace it, and puts both men and women at risk for osteoporosis. Weight-bearing exercise is important, and for women, estrogen replacement therapy. Welcome to the group.         Thanks for your response Nancy. Here’s my e-mail address. Do you recommend calcium supplements, and if so, what kind. I know there’s a lot of different opinions about how well calcium supplements are absorbed.
