Liz, yes there is a relationship between vitilago and thyroid, and YES, it is important to keep enough calcium in your body. Thyroid hormone (our own, or synthetic) pulls calcium out of our bones faster than we can ordinarily replace it, and puts both men and women at risk for osteoporosis.
