Thank you for the explanation. Yes, I have noticed physical improvements so I guess it’ll come when it is ready. My dose was lowered so I guess I just have to be patient (not easy) :)

KRielly…read your post on anxiety…I too have been dealing with what i am told are anxiety attacks…never had one before I started treatment for Graves…mine come at night..pounding,then racing heart, high blood pressure, that adrenaline rush feeling…I started a beta blocker at the advice of my doctor and that did help with the racing pulse but not the pounding…these attacks went from occassional to nightly which made me start to wonder if the meds are the culprit…so this past week I stopped the beta blocker…had two rough nights and then interestingly enough the past three nights have been uneventful, even restful…I can still feel an attack trying to surface once in awhile but they are ot near as strong as they have been…I suspect that in my case…even though I am on small doses…it is still enough to affect my system in this way…I can’t stop the Tapazole yet but I have a feeling that when I do these attacks will stop altogether…but just to be on the safe side I’m going to see a cardiologist to make sure it has not affected my heart…Deborah

When you feel these anxiety attacks coming on sometimes it helps to do deep breathing. Sit quietly and slowly and deeply breath in and out. In fact even doing this acouple of times a day even when you are not having an anxiety attack will sometimes help you stay calm. This is a tip that a professional had even me to help with anxiety attacks.
