Thanks. That’s kind of what I thought. The huge quantity part. In Cooper, Wood and Ridgway’s book on the thyroid they briefly mention a goitrogenic chemical that is found in some root type vegetables — but they mention that it was thought to make people hypothyroid who lived in iodine deficient parts of the world, and whose basic diets included large amounts of the particular food. That’s been the only reference I’ve seen so far to this type of thing.
Bobbie, I copied the chart(it was a chart of meds and foods to not eat and the results of what would happen if you did) as I found it. I believe they ment any of the foods in huge quantities. If I can find out more, I will relay the info to all on the Board.
