    Approximately 30 minutes after my RAI treatment I felt like I had a lump
    in my throat — it persisted on and off for about 24 hours — there was
    no pain. There were no other reactions.

    Hi Kelly! It’s been seven years since I had RAI, and I remember having no immediate reaction or side effects. I had a good experience with RAI – feeling fine days after and feeling great months after, as my eye involvement subsided. My doctor was able to catch me from going too far into the hypo stage. I wish you the same kind of luck! :)

    Hi Kelly

    I had the RAI back in Nov. My only major symptom was a headache for about a day and a half. I too had a slight “lump ” in my throat but it really didn’t bother me. Maybe I was too busy feeling my headache.
    After that I was sorta sleepy for a couple days. Over all I don’t regret it,
    feeling better now and blood levels returning to normal. Course now for the good ole disclaimer—Everybody’s results may be different!
