I am scheduled for surgery (unrelated to my Graves)in 3 weeks. I go to meet with the anesthesiologist (sp) on Wednesday. I am wondering if there is anything I should tell him concerning the Graves, because I have read on the BB that people have problems with novicaine at the dentist.
Thank you for your help and Happy New Year to all of you from small town New Hampshire.

Just let him know that you have Graves Disease. Plus make sure that is in your medical history. I always make sure I put that down when I am filling out forms or answering questions. I had major surgery about 2 years ago and they were not concerned about the Graves Disease. I did mention it to all the doctors who were involved with it.

Thank you, Diane. I will be sure to mention it to the anesthesiologist when I meet with him/her Wednesday.
