Hi Gwen*2
The eye specialists also say that there is nothing to regulate the eye disease that is related to Graves’ Disease. Certainly, nothing like ATD works on the eyes. I have taken prednisone for the swelling from time to time. Is your eye specialist familiar with the Graves eye disease, as well as your endo?
RAI apparently does not diminish the effects of the eye disease. Some people take prednisosne when they have RAI to reduce swelling. There are other postings here about RAI earlier on, you could check out to see what people have to say about it.
What was the tool the eye spec. used? Was it a kind of ruler with two arms that rest (hurtfully) on the outer rims of the eye sockets. If so, it is used to measure the amount of eye protrusion. It is an exophthalmometer.
It’s good that h/she doesn’t note any problems. Hope you continue that way.
