It has been 2 months sice I had my last dose of Iodine, now I am beginning to experience pain in swallowing and general soreness in my neck, especially around my Adam’s apple.Does anyone know if this is a normal side-effect to the treatments, or should I be contacting my doctor about it?

Albert, I suggest you contact your doctor.

Many people have soreness in the neck/throat very soon after RAI, from the inflammation resulting from radiation damage to the thyroid. I’ve never heard of this starting two months later (which doesn’t mean it can’t happen). Please let your doctor decide whether this is of concern, and let us know what you find out.
