At the suggestion of Jeannette, (I hope this is spelled correctly,)
she had indicated that at the conference the pharmacist had indicated
that they (general population of pharmacists) are under-utilized.
My question is has anyone made up a list of all of their medications
that they currently take, (i.e. OTC, vitamins and prescription meds)
and actually brought it into the pharmacy for review by the pharmacist??

If anyone has done this I was wondering how receptive they were to this?
I may try this as I always questioning timing and cross interaction.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated! I use a local CVS
not a small mom an pop pharmacy and I now they are extremely busy. But I
have given them alot of my business. So that should pay for it in
      itself.

      Have a nice day!

I just had to write after reading your post about using the pharmacy to get their input about meds.

After taking my prednisone as prescibed, the normal and the coming off of it dose, I got really really tired. So tired that I did not go to work and I started calling my Kaiser (HMO) almost daily. I asked about the coming off the prednisone several times and once the nurse had me talk to the pharmacist. He said that my being tired had nothing to do with the prednisone.

I have since found out from talking to people, the shrink I saw and reading the responses on the BB, that it can happen, being tired after stopping the prednisone.

Well to make a long story short, I am just not a very trusting person and now I think I would even get a second opinion even from a pharmacy!

Oh! I have been off work for awhile and I go back on Monday. I feel much better!

Thanks to all who shared with me before!

I personally have found most Pharmasists more than willing to assist in finding what we can and can’t take. From the small mom and pop operations, to the large and busy chains. Our health is of utmost importance to them in most cases. If you bring in a written list, most of them will most likely be willing to help you. It may have to wait till they can “get to it”, but I think they would be willing. Without us (people in general), they would go out of business.
