    Hello all,

I (23F) was recently diagnosed with Graves’ disease and am taking frequent medication. The symptoms (shakiness, rapid heartbeat, red bulging eyes, unintentional weight loss) appeared all of a sudden, and my
endocrinologist can only guess this condition is due to genetics. Medical staff throughout my treatment commented it is uncommon for people my age to have hyperthyroidism. Has anyone shared a similar experience?

Hello and welcome. The most common demographic for Graves’ disease is women age 30-60, but it can occur at any age. Even children and seniors can get Graves’!
