Just got my blood test results back, and everything’s still normal, 9 months after stopping Tapazole.

Kind of odd that my Free T3 is right at the bottom of the normal range, though. Don’t know if I’ll start going hypo — this is the lowest it’s ever been, by far.

The other odd thing is that last night, for the second time in a week, I did not sleep at all. I went for a drive, I changed lightbulbs and replaced a doorknob, read, watched t.v., but could not settle down to sleep. I’m still up and running, although I suspect I’ll crash around 4 PM. Probably stress related, but I’ve never been one to stay up all night, even when I was younger.

Hello everyone. I’m not helpless anymore. My blood work has been normal for 4 months and two days ago, I met my endo and he tells me I don’t have to take my medication anymore. Hopefully, I’m in remission. The only thing I’m worried is whether he should have ween me off the medication as oppose to stop it totally.
I met this girl and she told me I should self medicate. However, I don’t it is a good idea because it’s dangerous.
I’m the one that wrote about PTU and tapazole and my endo refuse to switch me to tapazole even though I told him I was intending to get pregnant. He said that if the symptoms return, he will put me on PTU. Finally, he is going to put me on ptu….
Today is my second day without my medication. I know it will take a week or two weeks before my symptoms return. But I’m trying to be positive. I really hope I am in remission.
Anyone been in remission and got pregnant only to have graves come back? well, I’m keeping my fingers cross..

I was on PTU for 7 months before I got pregnant with my first daughter. I was taken off PTU because my levels became normal within the first 4 months of being on PTU. I was off PTU for a month, then became pregnat with my first daughter. When my daughter was 4 months old, my level sky-rocketed. I went back on PTU for another 5 months, levels went normal. I was taken off PTU again, then 2 months later got pregnant with my second daughter. Now my second daughter is 4 months old, and my levels have once again sky-rocketed. This is now my 4th occurance with Grave’s. I saw an Endo this morning and am deciding whether or not to have the RAI, or wait. Good luck to you in trying to conceive. – OH, my levels were all normal through out my pregnancies, just acted back up after I had my two little angels. Hope this helps.
