My family is joking about it. Started about a week ago when the eyes were dilated. (sighs) So, am I supposed to tell the doctor about this? (groan)
I don’t like talking to eye docs because of the last time one said that i was a drug addict because I took lysine for the cold sores (getting hot under the collar, turning red). Gee, if this is supposed to happen, why now?
(squint) Better go now, I’m getting the feeling someone is watching! (dog runs into room barking like crazy)

Don’t feel bad. It happens to alot of us. I am still so self conscious about my eyes. My Graves kept changing my eye curvature so I kept losing my contacts (I had to wear hard ones). And since I am nearsighted, my eyes look even stranger with glasses. Now that I am getting a nice tax return, and since they make soft contacts for astigmatism, I getting contacts the week I get that refund! But as for my bad eye story…last year, I had to get a health card to wait table at TGI Fridays. Well, when they took the picture, my Graves totally kicked in and in the picture my eyes are sticking out and there is white showing completely all the way around. During my training class, we had to show our health cards so they could be copied. There was about 15 in our class. When the trainer got to my card, he started laughing hysterically and then showed it to everyone in my class and then all the existing servers when they arrived. I wanted to cry and crawl under the table. I felt so stupid with all those people laughing!Anonymous

What’s this trainers name and address. Sounds like we definitely need to send him a “Xerox!.”

chapter on endocrinology. Everyone laughed when we got to a page with
a picture of a woman with GD eyes. I felt really strange because I’ve
never had that symptom and no one knew I had the disease. -
