I’m glad you guys had a good time at the conference. I would
like to know what, if any, groundbreaking information on research and
    treatments was related.

Perhaps there wasn’t any; no one seems to be posting anything in regard
to those subjects. Oh, well, even if there wasn’t any useful
information, it sounds as though you guys had a good visit. Party on!

I just had a thought after reading Infomaniac’s good suggestion to you — you might also save yourself some time if you start your search for these long-term studies in the 1960’s. It crossed my mind that in the Forties, knowledge about the atom and radiation was still pretty basic and new. So studies during those years would not be yielding long-term info. If a study did follow patients for ten, twenty or thirty years, it would not be reported on until perhaps the Sixties or Seventies.

But, Bobbi — they’ve been telling us that long-term research was done over FIFTY years ago! Sure, I’ll pursue the more recent stuff, but let’s deal with first lies first. Do I want to clamp my hands over my eyes as I ride this rollercoaster, or do I want someone else pulling the wool over them?

We need more Igors! Come on, others of you — help me out here. Let’s find out what, if any real research has been done on RAI and whatever else we’re told to put in our bodies. Let’s sort the truth from the rest. Maybe there’s actually good research out there — I’m not suggesting that anyone make an unalterable decision on the basis of what I’ve found out so far. For the record, I’ve already checked with many of the suggested sources, including the NIH, but I’ll pursue it in my “spare” time.

And, Luci, I guess you and I are strong enough to find out the truth. After all, we’re both Atomic Women!
