I just wanted to share some good news with you all. I am feeling so well these days that I have decided to run for city council in our small town (I’ve lived here for 46 years and am tired of the current bunch of less than admirable people running our town. I certainly don’t need more stress, but GD has made me a warrior in more ways than in just GD..simply applying the knowledge. There are 14 of us running for 3 slots. My brother and I run our family business, I take care of my disabled mother, and also have a mail order business, so running for council is not something I chose to do without a lot of thought. I want honesty and accountability in our town. Thanks for letting me mention this…I know that a year ago when I was first diagnosed I NEVER would have believed that I could feel this good. I am on my last months of PTU, medium heavy, no more eye symptoms, and energetic. The best result of GD is the zest for LIFE that I earned. The GD journey is not over, by any stretch, but thanks to all of you and the magic of this BB, it pulled me thru the worst of times. THANKS Karen
