I am newly diagnosed with hyperthyroid and after the tests, etc it looks like graves disease. I just would like info from others… wouldyou just take the radio active iodine and zort the thyroid or try thepropylthiouracil when it usually only helps in 30% of the cases…is the time to euthryoid shorter ? what about quality of life.. whichis easier?

I’ve had Graves for at least 10 years. I took PTU initially for about 3 years until I worked up enough courage to do the RAI. I’m now on synthroid to regulate my hypothyroidism. I have all of the bloodwork stuff under control, but am experiencing some anxiety now. I just got a new boss at work, and he’s a little overpowering. I’d like to get onto a chat if one is available. If anyone can give me the address, I’d appreciate it. I really am glad I found this site. : }
