Has anyone had problems with adjusting the dosage of their methimazole? My doctor had me on 15 mg. every 8 hours. When I went back my Free Thyroxin ( T4?) had dropped from 3.82 to 1.96. That was after two weeks of treatment. She reduced it to 5 mg. every 12 hours and I have another blood test in two weeks. I was feeling fine. Now I’m starting to get the sweats again. I don’t know if it from the reduced meds or some other phenomen. (PMS, peri-menopausal etc) Has anyone else had this problem with their meds? Should I look forward to ups and downs?
