Hi! After sending the URL for the FDA report to one of my Mayo
    doctors, I got this response:

**I am deeply involved in the levothyroxine issue. The brand name
products currently being sold are safe. Just see that the tablets
are well within the expiration date.**

Okay, it’s not a detailed answer, but I can pull a couple of points
    out of my endo’s message.

*A world-renowned clinic knows about the levothyroxine sodium
concerns, and are somehow involved in the testing process.

*There is a trust for the brand name products among the medical
profession, and at this point I have to place my trust in them.
After RAI, what is the alternative?

*Care of the meds should be observed, especially the expiration date.
To be safe I store my meds away from heat, moisture, temp changes,
and always check the expiration date.

Personally, I don’t think this is an issue that most of us need to
get frantic about. I feel for the people that seem to be sensitive
to the doses, and that’s the reason for the FDA report. I would
guess that most patients on levothyroxine don’t notice a difference
from one batch to the next. But, the jury’s still out. I’ll choose
to look on this issue as a positive step to making our meds even
    better than they are now.

Wishing you health and happiness, Debby

BTW, the FDA report is at:

    Thanks, Redhen, for the address!
