    It seems to me that this disease is similar to diabetes. Unless you are shaking it is very hard to tell if your blood sugar is too high or too low. The symptoms that Dee just described can can also be symptoms of hyper thyroid. Except for the cramps, I have those.

    Hi,
    Till you are regulated with your Graves’ disease and your blood levels are in the normal range for you, you will feel like you are swinging on a pendulum. If you are hyperthyroid you will feel anxious, irritable and you may seem like you can bounce off the walls. Then the other spectrum is hypothyroid, where you are fatigued, no energy, muscle cramping and a rise in blood pressure and some people experience depression. This disease is not easy
    and requires a lot of patience. Once you find a happy medium of your blood levels and you feel better, it is your goal and your doctor’s to keep you in an acceptable range.
    By keeping a log of your symptoms and working with your doctor through good communication, you should feel better and you will feel almost like your old self without a thyroid or a partial one.
