    Hi shortstack
I’m 26 and know exactly how you feel. I would say you are at the right place for the kind of support you need. Feel free to vent and ask questions any time you need. I’m sure we all have been through a lot of the same feelings and situations that you are experiencing, myself included. This disease is very hard to cope with emotionally even on the “ok- with the symptoms” days. I too find it very difficult to distinguish GD with my own personality sometimes. Not being real sure whether it is the disease and HOPING that my reactions toward certain situations are REALLY NOT THE REAL ME.
What type of treatment are you currently doing? Is it helping at all? Let us know what it is you need and I’m sure we will all do our best!!
Feel free to email me if you need to talk in depth.

I was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease a year ago. I had and still have a hard time trying to figure out how to deal with my feelings, mood swings and physical limitations. It was a hard year with no one to talk to who truely understood how I felt or what I was going through. I never knew whether a reaction I had to something was how I really felt about it or whether it was because of GD. I haven’t been able to work out and my memory sucks. I’m 28 now and still feeling like I’m not myself. I’m looking for people to talk to who know what I’m going through. I’m tired of feeling like I’m the reason fights start and not knowing what feelings I have are mine and which feelings are because of GD.
