Hi Miriam, just read your post. It’s only 10 PM here on the West coast. It could be 1 AM to you and hopefully you are getting a good night’s sleep. Anyway if you read this before you talk to your Endo tomorrow ask about taking a lower dose of Inderal two or three times during the day. I take 40 mg two or three times a day as needed. I do find it helps a lot for the shakes and the heart flutters. Maybe it could help for you. Good luck and take care. SAS

I have been shaking and jerking non stop since Friday night. I don’t know how much more of this I can take! I’ll be 4 weeks post RAI Monday and I do plan to call my endo tomorrow. I’m trying so hard to fight this but if anyone knows how I can calm these shakes and jerks down please let me know. I am on Inderal 60 mg at bedtime but it’s not helping.

          Hi Miriam,
I know it’s hard, but I’m also sure that many people will tell you that it is still early days. When I had a problem with involuntary body motion keeping me awake (I had it both hyper and hypo) the doctor gave me a non-narcotic sleeping pill called zopiclone (Imovane I think). It does a wonderful job and there are no pre or post after effects. The only problem I had was it takes me 4 nights to get off it, but this is psychological not physiological.
Good Luck, These are not the easiest of times but they do get better.
