Don’t understand it! Suppose someone read and took your e-mail. What was it? E-mail us with your response. We have ways of taking care of people like that!!!

I received an email from someone calling herself (or himself) “Unknown”. Ms Unknown wrote about a non-surgical lipsuction cream that we could order so I knew it was a spam. It was the first time I got a spam in my Hotmail address SINCE I published my hotmail address in your thyroid support board a few days ago. In disgust, I deleted it.

I thought I better alert you to this problem, but did not think of saving and forwarding the spam email to you…

We too have gotten a few SPAMs and are not sure where they came from. One of our BB members was accused of sending SPAMs to tell people the support-group.com was back up. Just wanted to make sure that was not the case here. We hope people tell everyone they know that support-group.com is back on-line.

I think some sites we go to from here may be the cause of some of the SPAMs. I know we did receive a few and asked to be removed from the list. We also received a very nice e-mail back stating we would be removed and that they did not understand how we were sent advertisements since their site specifically stated we had to request them.

If you are using ICQ it may be the cause. When we first loaded ICQ we got SPAMed like crazy. If you go under advanced user options there is a box to turn off ads. Hope this helps.

Thanks for explaining. I have not yet joined ICQ and don’t know how to get there or know what it is like there! I assume it is like an email system. If I ever get another spam, I will send you a copy, but I doubt as long as I don’t publish my email address again here. Thanks. Belinda
