    Hi Jan

I look for postings to match my experiences. Your posting got my attention because just two days ago [for the first time since RAI], my heart pumped hard, but not racing. It was really uncomfortable, and I could not sleep all night. I had corn flakes and milk for breakfast, and fish and rye bread for supper. I had to cancel an exciting plan today because I was so sleepy and tired, and thought I should not cause more stress which might jeopardize thre progress of my treatments on my thyroid health I already had RAI more than a month and am still taking PTU. Before my RAI treatment, I asked my endo a few times about the food restrictions, but he told me, No problem as long as you don’t eat kelp (seaweed). Could you post the list of food for the benefit for other Graves survivors here??? Many thanks.

I too am interested in which foods to avoid with Graves. I am taking PTU (two pills a day) and my endo says to avoid only seaweed. When first diagnosed I was to avoid shellfish, specifically lobster. Now just avoid seaweed. Thanks for the posting. Too bad Endos are not better informed.
