Yes, this BB is great. I think you are an oldtimer for post RAI compared to a lot of us here. I had RAI 1 year ago and have the same questions you are having at 3.5 yrs post RAI. I feel much better than when hyper but I too have swollen legs weight gain periods of depression and wonder if I will ever feel normal. I see with your 3.5 years we will have to learn to deal with this as this is probably as normal as we get. My main problem is with fatigue. I get really tired about 3 oclock every day. As far as my legs, I was thinking it was my arthritis but I just don’t know. I do realize with some of the posts I’ve read I need to quit smoking, eat better (cholesteral has skyrocketed) and I probably would feel better. Here’s to feeling normal in the Warrior Spririt., wishing you well

I was treated with RAI 3.5 yeas ago the dose was very high and the out come is hypo. I was a severe case of graves, and had a terrible time. After all these years I am still battling with weight gain, swelling, etc. Does anyone out there have any tips on how I can reduce the swelling in my legs ?. For years I thought I was loosing my mind, and the people around me thought I had. But becomeing hypo and the mucle cramps etc. Seams just as bad. I just turned 40 and am so tired of it all. My doctor keeps changing the dose of thyrooid hormone every 3 to 6 mo. Can they find a dose that I will be stable on the rest of my life, or will they keep changeing it. I have gained 45 lbs. thorugh all this mess. I feel like a blob. I can’t even remember what normal is, and I still suffer from ansiety sometimes is this normal?. I thought after all this time every thing would be normal again. I guess I am just discouraged, my family is supportive but they are worried about all the changes I have gone through. Any insight into all this would be a great help.
Thank for listening.
