Norman Tomaka, a consultant pharmacist, AKA Jake’s pharmacist spoke to us about nutrient and medical interactions.
The bottom line on that talk, other than the fact that a clearly very bright and supportive man was very focused on the difficulites we face and the mysteries surrounding differences in response to the disease and the treatments, is that our pharmacists are very under utilized.
“Your pharmacist can look at your medicines, your lifestyle, your medical condition and best predict a method for you. Search for the easiest optimal regimen.” That is a quote.
Timing of combinations is very important. Anything you take your meds with can alter it. Except for good old water. You can increase or decrease the amount of med you receive. A suggested reference on food vitamin and medication interactions is:

copy 95 from St. Martin’s PressNow I sent all this stuff to a friend of the BB,. ..who has a scanner, so maybe once in a while she will pop some more details on the board for
us. But right now it is still in the mail.
Got your e mail.. Steve requesting more info on the conference. To be honest, maybe I have studied too much already, because lots of the info was way familiar to me. Then there was the stuff I didn’t buy. Then there was the eye surgeon, about which I knew nothing and want to know even less in hopes of never needing the services. But there I was in a room full of brave ones….and so squemish Jeannette sat tight and even looked at the photos( okay, except for a few).
By the way, here we were a room full of GD patients in various stages of treatment and recovery and I must say what a bright and kind bunch of people. Nancy arranged for us to have dinner with folks we didn’t know, so I met and spoke with quite a few folks not on the internet.Well I don’t mean to tease you with info, but I am suppose to be painting window sashes for an real estate open house this week. I am sure that other attendees will also be spiking the board with their missives soon. I find that it sometimes takes so long scrolling to one message to another that I can’t read them all in the time I have. Let’s
try to increase the support-info nature of our posts and do the purely personal as e-mails. I heard this concern from others… we want to
read all the board…but it gets hard. Best to all Jeannette -
