      Thanks Jeanette and Rosemary.
      I’ve already contacted a few agencies here in NZ and was pleasantly suprised to find a local one called Advocacy Services. It is set up by the government to help explain the consumers rights, assist with complaints, and help you take further action if required. It’s specific to the health and disabilty sector, but what a great idea. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and sent out the information right away. I hope I don’t meet too many people with GD that need their services but it’s good to know they are there.
      I also contact the Canadian Thyroid Foundation and she e-mailed my right away saying she’d be happy to help. If you haven’t seen their website I highly recommend it. I plan to print out the brochures, they are chocked full of info.
