Hi everyone – I haven’t posted in quite a while but I have been “lurking” – except on Jan 6 th the ice storm of the century hit here with a vengence. We went wihout power for TWO weeks! We have a dairy farm here and to say that things were difficult is an understatement. I felt rocky emotionally with my graves disease and accompanying depression before this but believe me when you add this big stressor into the pot, well, life sure wasn’t a bed of roses. I am slowly feeling less stressed but one of the reasons I am writing is to ask this – I am 42 yrs old and am peri-menopausal. A lot of the symptoms I have – depression, anxiety, yelling and screaming, crying, etc I have attributed to my thyroid going from hyper to hypo and back again over ( several times) the last two years makes me wonder how much is one or the other causing? Hey, crazy Steve – how did you survive being in a disaster zone – I know you are from around Ottawa, Canada like I am. Hope you made out O.K. Sorry for rambling, folks. Take care. B.B.
