Everything I’ve read and advice from the doctor is that women who get pregnant and whose thyroid levels are not controlled within normal ranges run a higher risk of miscarriage than normal. Does anyone know exactly what the causal links are? I forgot to ask when I saw the doctor this morning (too upset about having to attend an ante-natal clinic to see her when I’d lost my baby 4 weeks ago). She told me that my miscarriage was nothing to do with my thyroid problems, but I still have my doubts given the very shoddy treatment I’ve had at the hospital.
