Bobbi, thank you for ans. but it seems to me that being so skeletally thin is an indication that something is wrong. It’s very hard when you’re 90 lb.Tired all the time,no strength, labored breathing, can’t find clothes that fit. And Dr.s don’t seem to worry about it.Treat it like its no problem . To me its a problem. I hate people saying youRe so skinny. Do you know of anything to increase the appetite? Later

Anyway I was wondering if anyone saw the news about HYDRAZINE SULFATE and the Kathy Keeton Story. I looked it up on computer and readit all. Type in Hydrazine Sulfate and read if interested . Did it after reading post from Martha. Would be interested in what any of you think. Later

Hi, Silver. Welcome to the BB. When I was first diagnosed with GD, I had to eat two or three times the amount of food I normally ate. After awhile, my hyper-ness got so bad that my gastrointestinal system sped up to the point that I felt nauseous all the time and what little food I was able to ingest (maybe one or two rice crackers a day) wasn’t really absorbed. Anything I ate went from my mouth to my colon in about 1 hour. This went on for 6 months. I lost 20 pounds or something like that, bottoming out at between 90 and 95 pounds. My endo treated it like it wasn’t a problem, too. Drove me nuts. My GP, however, wound up prescribing a narcotic to slow things down. It helped a little, but not really, I’m afraid. My advice is find a doctor who doesn’t dismiss any of your symptoms. I know they’re few and far between (in my opinion) but they’re out there.

          Love and aloha, Caroline
