Yes, actually I had the sweating problem. I usually explained that my thyoird was off kilter and it caused me to sweat so do not take it personnaly.

It usually broke the ice and that was that. Once or twice it caused a conversation on Graves’ disease and that was a good thing,

        Hi Jake,

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and am greatly relieved to hear of your professional and personal success story!

Do you have any suggestions on how to explain sweating in business and social settings? Also, any suggestions for approach to employers and Graves’ Disease? – specifically relating to starting a new job?

        Thanks,

        LDB

I have just been asked to apply for a fairly important job with the state of Virginia. It has to be posted, as it is a state job, however, I’ve been led to believe that it’s mine after all of the legalaties have been met. My question is this…during the interview, should I disclose my Graves or keep it to myself? What would be in my best interest and what am I obligated to disclose? Thanks for any information…employment law is not my specialty.
