Welcome Diana! Good name, good state. I’m also from Idaho (Nampa). In what part of Idaho do you live? You mentioned you’d had two eye surgeries. Did you find a doctor in Idaho? I’d like to discuss that with you, as I am facing that too. Thanks
Dianne NAnonymousDecember 28, 1996 at 2:42 amPost count: 93172I’m new to (as you call it) the BB. I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease almost two years ago. So far I’ve had two eye operations and over a year of PTU treatment. I really enjoy reading your postings on the BB. I hope to get acquainted with all of you. I often wondered why I am always so moody and tired. By reading your articles I don’t feel so alone in this fight. I hope I will be able to help other people, just as you have helped me already.
Thanks to all of you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
By the way, I live in Idaho and we have had a lot of snow recently. It will be interesting to know where all of you are from.

I live in Meridian. I can’t believe we live so close to each other, that’s great! My endo is Dr. Christensen and my eye doctor is Dr. P. Petersen both in Boise.
I had to travel to the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, OR for both surgeries. They have some leading doctors there and they really treated me good. My doctor there was Dr. Packard who performed eye muscle surgery. I also had to have eyelid surgery after that.
It was rough traveling by air and staying in a motel after surgery, but I made it and my eyes are better. I still have to have prisims in my glasses due to some double vision still left. I hope this will get better as time goes by.
It was great hearing from you and I hope we will get together sometime. If you need any more info I will be happy to answer all I can.
