I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with Graves Disease. I had a thyroid blood test and a gamma scan and gamma pictures taken
so it was confirmed. I am now on 100 mg of atenolol and 45 mg a day of tapazole.

I take 30 mg in the morning and 15 mg at night.

I am afraid of the allergic reaction to tapazole and the agranulocytosis.

      Any suggestions or comments?

It’s important to read up on your meds, but don’t let the info freak you out. Just keep an eye on yourself, keep a journal on symptoms and so forth. Chances are you won’t have the bad blood problems, but talk with your doctor about. Just remember that it takes the meds a while to kick in enough for the symptoms to calm down.

Stick with it and keep talking with your doc. I just went off Tapazole after two years and my blood numbers are looking really good.

Best of luck, and we’re praying for you!!

I was wondering how long it may take before I start seeing results. I have been on tapazol for 3 weeks so far.
