Hi all! I’m recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and have not seen my specialist yet. I must be honest and say I am terrified, mostly of the unknown. Been on the net looking at all I can and found this wonderful place.
They can’t schedule me till July 2, and that is a long time to wait.
Can anybody give me some pointers??? I sure would appreciate it!

Hi Angie,
Welcome to the BB. You will get a wealth of info. from so many people who know so much about this disease. I am new myself and have had so many questions answered. You have found the right place to be.
Try not to worry to much(easier said than done).

Hi there Angie,welcome to our BB and you are at the right place.I was wondering how you are feeling as far as the tremors (hands shaking when you hold your hands out straight) go and do you have heart
palpatations and sweating are you doing much of this Angie,the reason that I do ask these is they are what one can when they have over-active thryoid problems and your appointment is so far away,at least to me it seems to be.Have you been sick long time Angie? Thank you SO much!!

Yes, I have all of those symptoms and at first I had been diagnosed with Anxiety, till I asked the doctor if to try the blood test
and it came back positive. I had already made an appointment with a counselor, so I kept the appointment and she suggested I call
my doctor and get some beta-blocking medicine to help with the symptons untill my appointment. I just got the pills today, so I
will try tomorrow and tell you how it goes!
