    Hey Everyone!

Sorry I’ve been rather incommunicado lately. This whole business with my manic depressive boyfriend has had me jumping into waters that I could barely swim. Anyway, things are getting better and I’m a lot less stressed out.

I’m going to see my endo on the 10th. I’m feeling better. I’m not losing any more weight. So far, anyway… ;-)

I just finished reading all the posts from the last week or so. I don’t want to go any further back. I might lose my mind. I hope everyone is doing well.

    Warm Fuzzies, Caroline

    Caroline:

Glad to see you post! I’ve been wondering if things were alright by you. Is
your boyfriend doing any better and is his family letting him see you?

Hope you keep feeling better and better.

I am what you say a “newbie” I have been reading over the postings and WOW! There is some people out there with the same problems and feelings I have.
I was diagnosed with GD 8 months ago. If not for a dear friend I worked closely with I would’ve “FRIEKED” at this diagnoses. But, working with her when few could tolerate her irratic behaviour seemed fine with me. We had alot of fun and she would be calm around me. How ironic! That was 7 years ago. Here I am now looking to talk to her. (Melissa are you out there?)
Anyway, I am remaining optomistic after all there are alot of people out there with worse problems,I’ve seen it in family and friends. I still thank God for all he has given me.
Don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of ups and downs, losing hair,no finger nails, eyes puffy, etc. you’ve heard it all. But, HEY, I can still get up each morning! I am my kids Mom! Have too!.
Thanks to all for sharing and hope I can meet some new friends on this BB.SuzyQ

I like your positive attitude. I’m glad there’s someone who is willing to focus on the things you still CAN do instead of what you can’t. Life really could be a lot worse for us, and I for one am going to start counting my blessings and not allow any condition (I hate the word disease) to beat me.

Hi Ree, love your outlook on life. I still am working hard 6 days a week at the restaurant, loving being a grandmother and enjoying the smallest things in life. I won’t let Grave’s take over my life and even though there are some challenging times it won’t take over. There are people out there worse than a lot of us and they are dealing with it. Actually there is no time for me to feel sorry for myself, thank God! You sound fantastic and welcome to this BB. Dottie

Hi SuzyQ, great to have you on the BB. It’s been abou 1 1/2 years since I found this BB and am so grateful for it. Did you also look for info from the National Graves Disease Foundation along with others on the internet. It helped out tremendously. So happy you have great support. Dottie.
