Levothyroixine is the chemical name for the inactive thyroid hormone T4.
Synthroid is the brand name of this chemical. Same stuff
except for the manufacturing of generics vs brand name quality.
As you may have noted, the FDA report does not give us a lot of confidence
in the potency of even the brand name product.
All are not expensive. The only change you should notice may be due to
different fillers or dyes or potency of one brand vs another vs generics.
Good luck!hello ,
How’s the bb doing?
my best source for my
health instead of the rest.put myself back onto levothyroxine at 25mg
its been 2 weeks now and i have dropped from
the hypo high 9’s to 5 and change. Im still
feeling yuk heres my question i have to cut
my 25mg with a knife from a 50mg pill i dont
think cutting this pill in half i get a smart
dose this way the drug store told me just go
on syntroid instead at a 25mg pill its the samething
now would switching to syntroid from levothyroxine
a major change or not.I see my endo in 2 weeks but
by now i know that i have to be my own professional
and look after myself fore i have no real respect
for the rest accept you all who have been better
than the rest.Thanks, steve
