      To anyone,

      What can we take for heartburn. Never had heartburn in my 44 years until just a few months ago.

        Hi–

        Has anyone experienced problems with heartburn or acid stomach since having RAI? I’m wondering if the loss of calcitonin when our thyroids are destroyed could cause this. Calcitonin regulates stomach acid, as well as encouraging calcium to deposit on our bones.

        I know heartburn isn’t as serious as eye involvement, but it sure is unpleasant :-( .
