I’ve had some success in that area by eating wheat germ. It makes a noticeable difference in my skin, too. It’s very high in vitamins. I sprinkle it on my yoghurt, my cereal, etc and I add it to cookies and things that I bake. (Sneaky way to get vitamins into my kids!)

I get it at the grocery store. It’s in a jar in the cereal section.

    Best wishes,

P.S. I don’t think it stops hair from falling out –at least not for me, but it does help in speeding up new growth. My hair is also less dry and has more shine. (Possibly the natural vitamin E in the wheat germ?)

I’ve been having hair loss for two and a half years, since I first went hypo. My levels have been changing ever since, and my doctor tells me the hair loss will stop when I’ve been on the same dose for a long time. It sounds like your levels are still changing too.

I have hairs of all lengths growing from my scalp, and there are always plenty of new ones. My hairdresser says it’s a natural way to get texturized, and that I still have plenty of hair. That’s looking at the bright side–but I am tired of hair all over the place.

I haven’t found anything that helped at all. If I wash my hair less, there’s just more in the brush and in the drain the next time. :(
