I see we have a lot of new folks on the message board and I want to welcome
you to the site. We are the National Graves Disease Foundation/I. We are
a non-profit lay person organization who try to educate the person with Graves
their family and their doctors. You can write to us at 2 Tsitsi Court Brevard,
NC 28712 or you can phone 704-877-5251. We will return your call collect. We
are working on an 800 number but it has not came to be yet. Membership in the
NGDF provides you with a quarterly newsletter, you can pick from a selected list
of our 41 bulletins on Graves disease and other information as it becomes
available. Please look at http://www.support-group.com for our home page and a list
of support groups we have nation wide. We are trying to add more as folks
want to start them in their areas. For the areas without a support group we have
a CHAT room scheduled for 24 Oct 96. We look forward to “seeing ” you on the CHAT
line this month. Download the mIRC files and register in the http://www.support-group.com
area. Our national director Dr. Nancy Patterson will be online soon I hope.
Her e-mail is working again I received a message from her last night. Please
spread the word about us to anyone you know who has Graves. We are here for you
and we hope you take comfort in the fact that you are not alone.
