Another Graves question. As I mentioned in my other posting, my wife
      was recently diagnosed with Graves.

Where is the best research and treatment on this disease
being performed. We live in northern California but are willing to travel
to get the best care available.

Also, I think my wife has been experiencing eye trouble – I think her
vision may becoming impared. Are there any steps that can be made to
      stop this?

      Thanks again.

Rob, you can probably find good medical care for your wife without leaving the area. The most important thing is to learn all you can about the treatment options available. There are advantages and disadvantages to each of them, and hopefully you’ll make a fully informed choice. If you read the posts here you’ll see that some people have definite opinions on those choices, but you should make up your own mind. The NGDF has a good selection of informational bulletins (see link on main page).

For the eye troubles, it’s important to find an ophthalmologist who treats a lot of Graves’ Disease patients, and get an evaluation.

        Best Wishes,

        Dianne
