Hi Deb, Yes, I am on beta-blockers: Propranolol (generic) 160 mg./day. That’s interesting what you found. My ophthalmologist didn’t mention that. My primary care phsycisian will be bringing me down on them soon though. I got the results of my last blood test today, and my levels are becoming slowly more normal. My eyes are much better even though I’m still on that prescription.

I just had some extensive work done on my gums today. I only got on the board to be nosy. I probably won’t chat tonight, because I’m still prretty much out of it. The dentist really does believe that the bacterial buildup in my guns are due to the auto immune disease. He shot a lot of antibuotics into my gums, and then took some back out. I’ve got a prescription for antibiotics too. I’ve lost one tooth now due to it (back tooth luckily.) My others aren’t so bad. I’ll have a cnsultation with him about what he found today in another couple of days or so.

    Take care and God bless.

I was diagnosed with Graves’ Eye Disease since 9/98. My vision was getting worse everyday. I have double vision since 3/99. I was referred to the eye specialist and talked about muscle surgery and optic surgery. I really have no idea how this works. The doctor said he needed to wait to see my condition is stable before doing any surgery, if not it might go back to where I am even the surgery is done. Right now my right eye is the worst. My eyeball was like half down. I have to close one eye to see. I was on prednisone last week to slow down my condition since my eyelids were swellon so much. Right now my thyroid level is normal. I really have no idea how I got this disease. I really want to talk to someone who have the same experience to share with me.

    Nancy
