    TO MCB,

GO TO AN ENT AND GET YOUR EARS CHECKED OUT THEY MAYREFER TO
AN ENDROCRINOLOGIST. THE ENDO CAN TELL YOU IF YOU HAVE GRAVES
IN A MATTER OF A COUPLE OF DAYS.

    HOPE ALL IS WELL,
    SLF

My doctor thinks I have Graves Disease but thyroid tests are negative. My symptons are: Chemosis, swelling around eyes, swelling of orbital tissues on CT scan, and blured and doubled vision. I also have pressure in ears and dizziness (which may or may not be related).
These symptoms started about two months ago and I am geting worried as they seem to be getting worse. I feel helpless as the doctor says there is no treatment and it could get better, stay the same, or get worse.
My doctor is an opthamologist specializing in eye disease.
I am puzzled —any advice out there!!

    Thank you,
    MCB

It’s very possible you have a case of Euthyroid Graves’ Ophthalmopathy as I do. That is the eye part of the disease without the Thyroid problems. The two don’t necessarily go hand in hand. Don’t know anything about the ear problems tho!
