I’m having trouble getting info from my Endo and GYN about pregnancy and
Graves. I’m 30, diagnosed at 28 and been in remission for over a year.
I am no longer taking any meds. I’m interested in hearing from people
who have been down this road before.

        Hi, Deb!

I went through my pregnancy with Graves disease and had no problems. They put me on PTU, and I was blood-tested every month. By the time I delivered, I was totally off of the PTU. Unfortunately, the Graves came back by 5-6 months later but it definitely got better while pregnant. I also had no problems nursing and the PTU does not get into the breast milk. E-mail me if you have any questions.

DebZ–I went into PTU remission last July, and I’m now three months
pregnant. If you’d like to keep my email address, or send me yours
I’ll let you know how it goes.
Abigail (sorry about the weird formatting–I can’t seem to fix it)
