Found this in MS bookshelf, thought it was kinda interesting.

Peter Paul Rubens depicts a goiter in his portrait of Marie de’ Medici (see 1625). The thyroid gland swelling is esteemed as a mark of beauty when only moderate in size (see BAUMANN, 1896).
