I went for a free VA (Veterans Administration) health screening test today. They seem to looking for new patients. They did a glucose and cholestrol finger prick test. My glucose was 161 and I had just had lunch. The dietician said that was still high. I called my HMO tonight to see what my glucose test was back in August and the nurse said 120 and that the norm goes up to 110. She told me to make an appt to get this glucose blood test done that can tell how your glucose has been doing for the past 3 months. I thought that was neat that one blood test can tell how you have been doing for the past 3 months. Not that I want any more troubles but since I have been tired and I do have eye problems I am going to call for the test just to rule out any other problems.

I was on that prednisone until July 13th. I wonder if that has anything to do with this. Has anyone had this glucose test? Any comments?

    Michele
