Hi…have not posted in a long while…weeks…anyway I made my
trek to the eye doctor to get a base line on my eyes…etc…I told
him all the things I thought I should get done and why and he
just got into the conversation with me about all the the possible
things that could be happening…talking about the equipment…
on and on…lots of good information. Just what you expect from
a professional but don’t always get…anyway my eyes are in good
shape at this point…some pressure but not outside the normal range..
But I was surprised when he just stopped and started talking about Graves
Disease and how frustrating it can be…the ups and downs…forgettfulness…
joint pains…wanted to know how I saw myself in this picture…
really the first doctor to ask…now why couldn’t this person be anendo doc!!
He actually took two phone calls from patients before I saw him..I heard him talk
to them and actually volunteer to go do a home call on one??? Took me a month to
get in to see him but I guess it was worth it…anyway thought you might
like to hear a fun…happy….doctor visit story..also didn’t have to
wait more than 10 min. for my scheduled appointment..AnonymousSeptember 22, 1997 at 1:14 pmPost count: 93172Hey guys! Just got back from another loverly doctor visit! Not really bad, as I trust my doctor, but I was having an ingrown toenail dug out and I have a pain threshold somewhere in the second level sub basement!
At any rate, when I asked my GP about my levels, he readily gave them to me and asked what questions I would like answered and what was I most concerned about. He answered all my questions in a manner that I could understand and the only problem was that I didn’t write it all down.
As for my levels, he said that before RAI, whichever one is supposed to be normal at .7 to 1.7, mine was 7.6!
He said he would gladly refer me to an Endo if that is what I want, but at this point, I truly trust him. This doctor calls you at home and checks on you after he does a procedure!
Another note: GloryBee, thanks for the personal note. It was encouraging and I will answer it tonight. Thanks–I needed that.
Well warriors, I’m off to the battle of US History, Settlement to Civil War! At least this book admits my Native American ancestors were here first!
