This is an awesome site! I’m glad someone told me about it today. I have graves, was diagnosed two years ago after giving birth to my second child, and after my mother-in-law died. I lost seventeen pounds my first two months of pregnancy so this tells me I had the disease during pregnancy. My endo put me on PTU (began with six pills a day, went up to nine, now maintaing levels with two pills a day) and my levels remain normal only by staying on the meds. I have tried chiropractic, homeopath, diet, etc. and now am having a thyroidectomy on July 21st. Will my eyes go back to normal or will this “stare” remain after surgery? Will I finally loose weight or will I continue to gain? Will these mood swings stop? Has anyone had similar mood swing experiences. I would certainly enjoy hearing from anyone who has experienced these things. Thanks to all!
