    I am not sure why they want your glucose checked, but I do know that nearsightedness is also a symptom of diabetes (but by no means the only one). My mother was quite nearsighted and had diabetes.

    I myself have noted that when my glucose levels are higher, I have a harder time seeing.

    Not sure–if you want to know, ask your doctor why–that’s what you are paying them for–to treat AND talk to you.
