In my case I started w. a GP and switched to an Endo. My GP took me through a pregnancy, but was pretty determined to go about RIA after. I wasn’t convinced and thought it wouldn’t hurt to at least get a second opinion before doing something permanent. After I visited the Endo I felt I had more information and I felt that this particular doctor was willing to consider other possibilities for treatment.
I believe each doc is different. In my case, I wish I’d switched earlier, but I’ve heard from others who say their GP is just great.
You need to decide if your doctor works with you and answers your questions clearly. Sometimes docs just don’t volunteer specific numbers unless a patient asks. But you know yourself. Go ahead and ask questions, and, if necessary, seek a second opinion. Ultimately, you will have a great impact on your own health.
    Good luck and good health!:)
