    Hi, Bobbi

I experienced similar problem when I was first pregnant and moved to the mountains. My new optometrist found a crescent-shaped dry patch on my eyeball, and determined that I, too, was not shutting my eye (the left one only!) all the way when I sleep. We tried a couple different drops to moisten; and tried administering an ointment at bedtime while using a bandage to seal my eye shut (didn’t work…). But the oddest thing DID work for me, and I can’t remember how we came about it, but here goes…we turned up the heat a couple notches! Those few degrees in the house made a huge difference and I haven’t had the problem since!

Funny note: My now-3-year-old son also sleeps with his left eye half open! And my husband still has trouble determining whether either one of us are awake or sleeping when we’re in this state!

Hope you find your anecdote soon. taskit

I wonder if a humidifier in the bedroom would help?
